Meet the Teachers

Marie-Anne

Hello, I’m Marie-Anne; a dedicated educator equipped with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts with Literature majors from Durham University, a Master’s in English Literary Studies, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Secondary English Education, which granted me Qualified Teacher Status.

My teaching journey spans UK secondary schools, private tuition and even adult education in France. Now, I specialise in guiding students through entrance exams and GCSE courses.

Growing up in a working-class family, my experiences have fuelled my passion to make educational support more accessible and affordable, especially for secondary school students.

As a child of an immigrant, I understand the challenges parents face when navigating the education system and aim to make this support as clear and concise as possible. My ultimate commitment revolves around ensuring every student receives the necessary support to thrive in their educational journey.

Danny

Hi, I’m Danny; a teacher deeply committed to providing equal opportunities for all students, with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies with Creative Writing, a TEFL Certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Secondary English Education with Qualified Teacher Status.

I have extensive experience teaching in UK secondary schools and other sectors of education, having dedicated the last two years to providing private tuition and working in an alternative provision centre (an educational setting for those unable to attend school due to learning disabilities or additional social, emotional, or mental health needs). I now specialise in guiding individuals of all backgrounds through exams, ranging from 11+ entry examinations to GCSE English Language and Literature.

Coming from a working-class family, in which I was the first to attend university, I understand the challenges faced by students lacking additional academic support. I strongly advocate for a fair and inclusive education system. In my view, education must be fair, allowing everyone the chance to succeed, with ample support available to the majority.

Unlocking AQA

Whether you’re a student or a parent, we’re here to help you navigate the world of exams. When it comes to the AQA exam board, we’ve got you covered. Over a million students take AQA exams each year, making it the most commonly used exam board in the UK.

AQA isn’t just unique to the UK- the qualifications are recognised worldwide and taught in around 40 countries. And guess what? AQA’s most popular exam is GCSE English Language.
